Bruno Pierre founds the first French gluten-free company. The products are marketed and sold via mail order, then throughout specialist networks.
Bruno Pierre founds Guaranteed Gluten Free (GGF), using an innovative process which allows him to manufacture gluten-free products again, still in Hauts de France. The gluten-free market is still in its infancy and supply to shelves is minimal. As manufacturers are still few, GGF begins to manufacture for retailers' own brands and for other brands (Private Label – PL).
Already of the opinion at the time that Organic produce and Nutrition should be linked, Bruno Pierre and Christophe Fontaine together found ABCD Nutrition, which amalgamates gluten-free and organic know-how.
Launch of the gluten-free brand ‘Les Recettes de Céliane’ in specialist shops. The brand’s aim is to diversify the range of gluten-free products available for those with coeliac disease, with gourmet products that are unique on the market—such as the famous ‘muffins fourrés’ [stuffed muffins]. Manufacture begins at the workshop in Moreuil (Somme department). The first products to be launched are the madeleines, showcasing the group’s iconic expertise! The muffins swiftly follow, just one year later.
The first organic and gluten-free products arrive in specialist shops, still under the brand name ‘Les Recettes de Céliane’, which is also the first gluten-free brand with a gourmet and organic focus.
ABCD Nutrition invests in a new gluten-free manufacturing workshop and sets up in Roye (Somme department), with two production workshops, one for biscuits and one for bread (bread, crackers, etc.).
Our gluten-free brand is in need of a slight makeover to adapt to changes in the market. ‘Les Recettes de Céliane’ is therefore becoming ‘Céliane’, and the brand will benefit from a new graphic charter designed to firmly establish its expertise in the area.
Inauguration of the new factory in Noyon, which becomes the first site in France entirely dedicated to the manufacture of gluten-free products.
Launch of Naten, a new organic and gluten-free phenomenon in supermarkets. The brand is portrayed as positive, flavoursome, and comforting, with a range of biscuits and soft desserts designed to make the customer feel good.
Naten’s cookies win the award ‘Sélection Consommateurs Bio 2020’, which thank the great taste of these cookies. Organic consumers marked the product according to visual aspect, taste, smell, packaging.
